About Erika

I grew up in West Texas dreaming about horses, but never had the opportunity to own them until I was an adult. After leasing my first horse, I fell in love and dove in head first. I became a volunteer with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and have gotten to experience many aspects of the love of horses, including wilderness riding and pack trips. I am lucky to be able to roll that passion into being able to provide custom clinics in First Aid and other beneficial programs for horse owners.

Helping horses and their owners reach their goals through life’s challenges is my goal.

“Prompt and knowledgeable first aid can make all the difference in an equine emergency. Having trained horse owners who can recognize critical signs and take immediate, appropriate action until a veterinarian arrives greatly improves outcomes and supports the welfare of the horse. I have personally seen Erika teach this class, and I fully support her program and the invaluable education she provides to our equine community.”
