You are your dog's first responder.

When your dog is hurt, choking, or gets into something toxic, the minutes before you reach the vet can make all the difference. Our canine clinics give you the skills and confidence to step in and help, with lots of hands-on practice so it sticks when you need it.

All canine courses are developed by Canine Health Canada/International, reviewed and approved by veterinarians, and taught by Erika Harding, Authorized Canine Health Canada/International Trainer. Courses are approved for IAABC continuing education credits.

Canine Emergency First Aid

7 hours, hands-on | $169

Our most complete dog first aid course. Learn CPR, how to help a choking dog, how to handle poisonings, injuries, and digestive emergencies, and how to stabilize your dog for the ride to the vet. You will also practice making an emergency muzzle and cone, because even the sweetest dog can bite when hurt or scared. Includes a take-home reference manual, certificate of completion, and wallet CPR card.

Advanced Canine Emergency First Aid

7 hours, hands-on | $169

For dog owners who hike, camp, travel, or live far from a vet. Build on your first aid course with scenario-based training for the big stuff: fractures, wounds and stitching, animal attacks, heat stroke and hypothermia, toxic plants and water, and how to safely move an injured dog on your own. Includes a reference manual and certificate of completion.
